The Parricidal Twin? K-12 Education
December 23, 2008
Unfortunately, in life anomalies occur during human conception. Twin conception can result in an incomplete twin absorbing life from the healthy twin. The term often used for this type of birth is Parricidal Twin.
Minnesota Legislative meetings in December 2008 suggest our leadership is willing to sacrifice 50% of state function to benefit education. Both the Minnesota House and Governor are isolating K-12 Education (40% of state budget) and to some extent higher education (9.1% of state budget), from equal participation in budget allocation adjustments creating a parricidal Twin called K-12 education.
Protecting educating creates an economic budget disaster when considering the next biennium budget shortfall greater than $5,275,000,000.00. When placing100% of a budget shortfall on 22 other constitutional departments’ through increased taxes and spending cuts we create a parricidal twin absorbing life and the ability of Minnesota to function.
As stated in my campaign, we need to freeze state spending at 2008 levels. In addition, equally cut all allocated state spending to close the budget shortfall. Also, stop expanding government with new programs or initiatives, repeal unconstitutional laws passed over the years, and restrict Minnesota government to the Rule of Law. Carolyn Laine cannot provide this type of governance as she views our Minnesota constitution a living document, subject to views of interpretation.
