Youth for Tim Utz Car Wash

The youth for Tim joined together on August 8, 2009 by hosting a car wash. We had perfect weather for the event, using facilities across the street from our campaign headquarters in Columbia Heights, Minnesota. About 8 teens and several adults worked hard gaining customers, standing in the street with signs waving. The campaign raised just over $100.00 but many lessons were learned by the teens; especially the lesson of giving to community activities when possible.
After the water fight and final cleanup of our staging area, everyone shared in pizza at the campaign headquarters known as “The Hanger.” As the group reminisced on the day’s events, Tim and Nadine realized they forgot to have their van washed.
