Endless Federal Debt

December 25, 2009

Congress and the federal government continue expanding and making even greater economic commitments, ever increasing the oppressive hand of government on the liberty of “We the People.” With debt comes limited liberty, mobility, and choice, whether personal, business or government. The debt must be repaid some how, by someone, in some way. Congress is currently looking to increase the federal debt limit, for the third time in a year and half, to $13,600,000,000.00. In 1990 the federal debt limit was $4,500,000,000.00.

Every one trillion dollars of federal debt equates to $3,125 of debt obligation for every man, woman and child in America. At $13.6 trillion dollars of debt, the individual human obligation is $42,500.00. Look around your family and do the math.
