Special Guest of Republican Caucus
May 12, 2009
Today I had the special privilege of being a guest of the Minnesota House Republican Caucus meeting. The purpose of the caucus is for party strategy, bill support, general discussions, and other collaborative party matters.
Both Democrats and Republicans hold such events at different times during the legislative year. In addition, during the actual floor session either party may call for caucus. Both Democrats and Republicans agree on a mutual time to suspend the day's session, and then caucus until the agreed resumption of floor session.
Thank you to Marty Seifert, the House Minority leader (R) District: 21A for providing this unique opportunity to participate in state government.
