Bus Canvas Part Two
October 4, 2010
We covered several areas of the district this afternoon, including Columbia Heights Precincts 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 along with Fridley W1-P3, W1-P4, W2-P4, W3-P3 and W3-P4 in four hours traveling 20 miles. We spent some time waving at passing vehicles at 44th and 7th in Columbia Heights. Our 47 direct voter contact results are 49% voting for Tim, 42.5% undecided and 8.5% no vote for Tim.
One independent voter just purchased a monster truck, and after we shared my political positions we gained a voter. He proudly posed for our Facebook posting claiming he will use the monster truck if needed, climbing rocks to assure he makes the voting booth on Election Day. We even took a photo of the Light Rail parking lot for all to see the volume of usage indicated by
parked vehicles at 4:30 p.m. Another group of young boys playing in their yard posed for our camera and Facebook, allowing Mona time to pass along my thank you to parents for voting Tim Utz on Election Day. In addition, we traveled through River Front Regional Park greeting folks, although each lived outside the district; and one unfortunate woman was living in her vehicle.
