Bus Canvassing

September 13, 2010

We drove another 30 miles in 3.5 hours today in northwest and southeast Fridley, northern Columbia Heights, all generally strong DFL voting areas. I must remind every reader that our district is 1/6th Republican, 1/6th Democrat, and 4/6th neither party, with an additional thousands of unregistered voters.

We had a blast today meeting folks and waving at traffic. We greeted traffic at 79th and East River Road, Main Street and Osborn, and we even distributed our literature at Spring Brook Nature Center again. Many waves, honks, big smiles, and even one middle finger salute. We only planted two yard signs today, but one was for a couple who has never had any political yard signs in their yard, ever. We made direct contact with about 40 people, with seven or so not interested in our campaign, but overall many folks were polite. We received at least four to six complements for our "Wellstone bus;" but remember this is a Democratic area. I explained that the bus is Wellstone the Republican version.

Now here is the rest of the campaign story. Our campaign has NO money, and today we finished using up the gas in the bus. So again we sit waiting for generous people with convictions who are willing to sacrifice a little today to preserve our Republic tomorrow. Visit our website now at www.timutzforhouse.com and make a generous sacrificial donation. We wait for you.
