Intimidation, Terrorism Alive in HD50-A

About three weeks ago an older couple from Columbia Heights placed our yard sign in their yard. Over the last week I noticed the sign missing. So today I visited them to discover the problems with our sign. The wife explained that in the mornings they would discover the yard sign tossed into the yard. Then a few days ago a neighbor came over and wanted to know why they thought my yard sign was appropriate for their yard, indicating the couple should remove our sign from the yard. Today she apologized to me for returning our yard sign but feared retaliation from the neighbors.

I ask the question: is this America any more, where the free flow of thought, idea, expression, political views, religious practice and opinion has protection?
