Meeting the People
September 10, 2010
This morning Nadine and I stopped at a busy local double garage sale, not a guy thing but the wife likes sales. After a few minutes I had several people introducing themselves and asking if I was actually Tim. Nadine kept working the garage sale and commented later on how many people were greeting me.
Later in the morning we attended Northeast Bank at 40th and Central for their annual community picnic held in the parking lot. They rotate the location each year to their three locations. There were hundreds of people having a great time conversing and sharing together. I had several conversations with some folks and many people were looking at my campaign clothing line. I had the opportunity to meet the bank owners, a lovely couple, and thank them for their contribution to the community. Private commerce and free will to share in profit which is free from government regulation and force, is our constitutional privilege.
Later I took the bus out for a short time with Chris as my driver and Mona helping talk to people. We met a few folks, but the winds and cool weather appeared to keep people indoors. Tonight, along with the campaign bus, we are attending Totino Grace home football game in Fridley.
