Morning Rush Hour
September 17, 2010
This morning I was out the door at 6:07a.m. on the way to 53rd and University. The morning sky is still very dark so I parked the bus on the frontage road and positioned myself at the intersection under the intersection lighting. Between the intermittent rains I could see folks would wave but I had a difficult time noticing people. Then it was off to 58th and East River Road where I stood on the bus platform. So many of the 1,000 plus who passed the bus honked, smiled and waved that I actually got emotional with the realization that victory is becoming more of a reality in November. For people who are not aware, it takes a special event to get me emotional.
The detractors from preserving our Constitutional Republic, people who, for what ever reason, do not like my campaign or message were also out this morning. I received three middle finger salutes and one comment. People are clearly deciding what side of our liberty they will vote for in November. The change I noticed today was the intensity of detractive opinion. I felt an elevated hatred from the above mentioned contacts. The level of intensity reached a point where I became concerned for my personal safety.
