New Brighton Forum

September 30, 2010

Tim participated in the North Metro Mayors Association candidate forum held at New Brighton city hall council chambers. The forum divided by Senate and House candidates in district 50 started at 7:00 p.m. Tim participated in part two which included 50-A and 50-B candidates. The forum provided the questions in advance for the candidate's convenience. Tim and Carolyn stayed
within the forum format except for a couple times when Carolyn responded in violation of the forum rules, to comments Tim made. The forum provided Tim opportunity to tune his forum presentation and speech skills around a live audience in preparation for the next two forums prior to Election Day.

After the forum Tim's photographer/reporter requested a joint photo of Tim and Carolyn, but she refused the request and quickly left the council chambers. In the council chamber lobby a conflict developed as the 50-A Chairman John Anderson inquired further of Carolyn's evening escort as to why such a customary candidate photo opportunity was rejected. The problem escalated into verbal threats by Carolyn's escort as he quickly left the city hall building. The full story of the conflict can be read at Examiner.com.
