What Government Do You Want
August 25, 2010
I have concluded that the greatest threat to our country, state and liberty is people in power who, regardless of party affiliation, set their own agenda of political power.
We have this exact problem in HD50-A with our current representative Carolyn Laine. Recently Carolyn updated her website, restating her positions and agenda for the next two years. I will not attack Carolyn Laine personally, but politically she needs to be called out. Too much is at stake in our land to ignore her extreme political philosophy. Visit Carolyn's website today at http://www.carolynlaine.com/ and make your own conclusions.
As for me, politically I stand with our Constitutions, specifically our state Constitution. Article 1, Section 1 of the citizen's bill of rights clearly dictates the limits, subordination, and separation of government from the people who own government. I have included both the constitutional object of government and Carolyn Laine's view of government. Clearly we have a cataclysmic disconnect between the constitutional reality of government and Carolyn Laine's purpose of government
Bill of Rights
Minnesota Constitution Article 1 Section 1. OBJECT OF GOVERNMENT. Government is instituted for the security, benefit and protection of the people, in whom all political power is inherent, together with the right to alter, modify or reform government whenever required by the public good.

THE ROLE OF GOVERNMENT
Government is the only entity in our society which has as its very purpose the good of ALL the citizenry. It rightfully is the place of representation of the needs of all. Through the balance of our three branches of government, we constantly fine-tune the working of this purpose. I take very seriously the responsibility of participating in this through the legislative branch. Some call for little to no government; I work for good government.
