What a day, hot sunny and humid. The bus needed a bath first prior to painting. After completing the bus wash, off the 42nd and Central for the paint project. Just wait a minute, steam from under the hood is not good. We stopped about 1/2 block from home in the alley at Dave's Auto for radiator hose replacement. While waiting an hour and a half in the alley for the repairs, the team jump into action and started painting. Our activity resulted in a neighbor calling the local police who were very understanding of the bus breakdown. Soon we resumed the trip and finished painting most of the bus today. Jeff, Nick and I worked tirelessly for about 8 to 12 hours.
Wendy and Nadine worked hard most of the day and spent plenty of additional time fixing meals. Even Ben and Emma participated in cleaning and painting during the day. I want to say a special thanks to all the help we had today painting the bus. Look for us on the campaign trial, bright green is hard to miss.
The bus fully painted.
