The Surprises Never End in Saint Paul

The city of Saint Paul intends to renege on a binding agreement to repay bond sale debt incurred by Minnesota (HF1263), then re-directing $33,000,000.00, to a local ice rink project next to the Xcel Energy Center. The bond proceeds provided a portion of the Xcel Energy Center construction package. 

The reply from our state leaders must be NO. Saint Paul does not need another ice rink in downtown Saint Paul in this tough economic environment. The State is short $6,400,000,000.00 plus and is in no monetary position to pay Saint Paul bond obligations.
